Bob Beaury has been directly involved in the development of more than 100 new products and the creation of their market introduction programs. His expertise includes building start-up companies and the practical implementation of innovation, product development, and sales and marketing programs for cost-conscious, results-oriented organizations. Beaury served as the CEO of Broadband Networks, Inc. (BNI) for 10 years, and has more than 25 years of experience working for market share leading companies in the electronics, semi-conductor, and networking industries. Beaury grew BNI to be one of the leading suppliers of distance learning networks. The company was known throughout the industry as a developer of numerous “first-to-market” products related to fiber optics and high-performance video and data networks. Prior to his work at BNI, Beaury held key management positions in product development and marketing at several companies, including General Instrument/Motorola and C-Cor Electronics/Arris Corporation. In 2003, Beaury and Jason Oakman started Xsalta (www.xsalta.com), a marketing strategy consulting firm that serves a wide range of clients throughout Central Pennsylvania. In addition, Beaury is an instructor of Entrepreneurship and Leadership at Penn State’s College of Engineering. His classes focus on teaching engineers and business students how to create and market innovative products. In addition to his work at Penn State, Beaury is a consultant to a number of technology-based companies. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for several other companies including Restek Corporation, which was recently selected by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top 15 “Small Workplaces” in America, and DiamondBack Automotive, a company Beaury helped former Penn State students start.
